This manuscript is divided into five distinct chapters, namely:

Chapter I provides  an introduction to the fundamental concepts of remote sensing data acquisition. It also explores different types of platforms and sensors and their resulting remote sensing applications.

Chapter II considers the properties and characteristics of digital remotely sensed imagery. It describes some image fusion techniques that assist

satellite image interpretation.

Chapter III looks at the various image processing techniques that are commonly used for remote sensing image analysis and interpretation, including preprocessing, transformation, and correction methods.

Chapter IV provides a general introduction to Geographic Information System (GIS) including basic concepts and examples of its applications.

Chapter V provides a step-by-step guide to the most important GIS software

« ArcGIS » with their technical characteristics.
