This manuscript is divided into five distinct chapters, namely:
o Chapter I provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of remote sensing data acquisition. It also explores different types of platforms and sensors and their resulting remote sensing applications.
o Chapter II considers the properties and characteristics of digital remotely sensed imagery. It describes some image fusion techniques that assist
satellite image interpretation.
o Chapter III looks at the various image processing techniques that are commonly used for remote sensing image analysis and interpretation, including preprocessing, transformation, and correction methods.
o Chapter IV provides a general introduction to Geographic Information System (GIS) including basic concepts and examples of its applications.
o Chapter V provides a step-by-step guide to the most important GIS software
« ArcGIS » with their technical characteristics.
