Course Objectives:
- To introduce the learner to regulatory concepts, definitions and origins of legal texts, and knowledge of penal consequences.
Prerequisite:
- All course content.
Course Content:
- General concepts of law (introduction to law, criminal law).
- Presentation of Algerian legislation (www.joradp.dz, text references).
- General regulations (consumer protection law, hygiene, labeling and information, food additives, packaging, trademark, safety, preservation).
- Specific regulations (personal work, presentations).
- Regulatory Authorities (DCP, CACQUE, hygiene office, ONML).
- Standardization and accreditation (IANOR, ALGERAC).
- International standards (ISO, Codex Alimentarius, NA, AFNOR)
Assessment Methods:
- Continuous assessment (50%)
- Semester examination (50%)
