Teaching of English for specific purpes in Social Sciences, intended for first-year Common Core Social Sciences students, aims to:
Provide students with fundamental knowledge related to the field of social sciences in English. Enable them to acquire and understand specialized terminology and use it accurately in academic contexts
Develop students’ reading and comprehension skills for academic texts related to social sciences. Strengthen their ability to analyze academic content and identify main ideas.
Enhance basic academic writing skills, such as summarizing texts and writing structured paragraphs.
Improve oral communication skills for presenting ideas and concepts connected to their field of study. Support students in using English academic references and sources in their future studies.
